Many general dentists are good at removing teeth. However, other challenges can make cases more difficult and time-consuming than anticipated. This course prepares you to avoid or manage these issues. It includes removing canines and maxillary 1st premolars faster and without unnecessary bone loss, preventing tuberosity fractures, the quickest way to remove deep chronic pathology (that would delay healing), and how to smooth coronal bone irregularities for immediate dentures. Dr. Koerner will also discuss frenectomies, exostoses, and fibrous tuberosities, how to avoid problematic anatomic structures, such as facial and lingual arteries, and the lingual nerve, and avoiding excessive bleeding from hard or soft tissues, trismus, sinus perforations, swelling, and pain. This course makes these frustrating issues easier for you and your patients.
