Karen Preston, MAEd/AET, RDH, FHEA is an Associate Professor in the Department of Allied Health/Dental Hygiene at Utah Valley University. She teaches many of the STEM courses in the Dental Hygiene Program, hands-on instruction in the dental hygiene clinic, and online courses in the Dental Hygiene Bachelor’s Program. Karen is professionally recognized as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK Professional Standards Framework. She earned a Master’s of Arts in Education with an emphasis in andragogy education and training. She sits on the Board of Directors for Clinicians Reports and is actively involved with CR and PCC. Prior to her work at the university, Karen worked with Gordon Christensen as a dental hygienist and managed a dental radiology lab for many years.
